WATER OUTLET : Removal & Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Drain engine coolant from the radiator. Refer to Draining .
    CAUTION: Perform when the engine cold.
  2. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD : Removal & Installation .
  3. Remove the battery. Refer to 12V BATTERY : Removal & Installation .
  4. Disconnect EVAP hose from vacuum delay valve and reposition vacuum delay valve.
  5. Release harness retainer from water inlet pipe.
  6. Unbolt harness bracket and remove from water inlet pipe.
  7. Release harness from battery tray and reposition.
  8. Disconnect water hoses from water inlet pipe. Refer to Exploded View .
  9. Remove bolt and remove the water inlet pipe. Refer to Exploded View .
  10. Disconnect the harness connector from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
  11. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor from the water outlet (if necessary).
    CAUTION: Do not reuse copper sealing washer.
  12. Remove the radiator hose (upper), heater hose, CVT water hose, water hose A and water hose C from the water outlet.
  13. Remove water hose B from clip on water outlet.
  14. Loosen the water outlet bolts in reverse of the sequence shown and remove the water outlet.

    CAUTION: Do not reuse water outlet.
