Pre-Alignment Checks

For proper inspection and adjustment of the wheel alignment, do these checks:
- Release the parking brake to avoid an incorrect measurement.
- Make sure the suspension is not modified.
- Make sure the fuel tank is full, and that the spare tire, the jack, and the tools are in place on the vehicle.
- Check the tire size and pressure.
Tire size:
10-11 models:
MDX, TECH, TECH-E, and ELITE models:
Front/Rear: P255/55R18 104H
Except MDX, TECH, TECH-E, and ELITE models:
Front/Rear: P255/50R19 103H
12 models:
MDX, TECH, and TECH-E models:
Front/Rear: 25S/S5R18 105H
Except MDX, TECH, and TECH-E models:
Front/Rear: P255/50R19 103H
Tire pressure (at cold):
Front/Rear: 220 kPa (2.2 kgf/cm 2 , 32 psi)
- Check the runout of the wheels and tires
- Check the suspension ball joints. (Raise and support the vehicle (see LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ), then hold a tire with your hands, and move it up and down and right and left to check for movement.)
- Before doing alignment inspections, be sure to remove all extra weight from the vehicle, and no one should be inside the vehicle (driver or passengers).
- Lower the vehicle to the ground, and bounce the vehicle up and down several times to settle the suspension.
- Check that the steering column is set at the center tilt position and the center telescopic position.
