Tailgate full latch switch circuit troubleshooting

NOTE:
- Before troubleshooting, check the B-CAN DTCs. If any DTC is indicated, refer to B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ), and troubleshoot the indicated DTCs first.
- Before troubleshooting, check for DTC B1382 (see DTC B1382: POWER TAILGATE CLOSER UNIT FULL LATCH SWITCH CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION ). If indicated, troubleshoot the DTC first.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- With the tailgate full closed, select SECURITY with the HDS, and enter the DATA LIST.
- Check the ON/OFF information of the TRUNK LID/TAILGATE SWITCH in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator ON?
YES -Go to step 4.
NO -Go to step 6.
- Disconnect the power tailgate closer unit connector B (6P).
- Check the ON/OFF information of the TRUNK LID/TAILGATE SWITCH in the DATA LIST.
Is information indicator OFF?
YES -Faulty tailgate full latch switch; replace the tailgate latch (see TAILGATE LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
NO -Faulty rear MICU; replace the rear fuse/relay box (see REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Disconnect rear fuse/relay box connector C (42P).
- Disconnect the power tailgate closer unit connector B (6P).
- Check for continuity between power tailgate closer unit connector B (6P) terminal No. 2 and rear fuse/relay box connector C (42P) terminal No. 6.Fig 1: Checking For Continuity Between Connector B (6P) Terminal No. 2 And Connector C (42P) Terminal No. 6

Is there continuity?
YES -Faulty rear MICU; replace the rear fuse/relay box (see REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
NO -Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
