Power Tailgate Latch/Ratchet Switch Test

Remove the tailgate trim panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - TAILGATE AREA ).
Disconnect power tailgate closer unit connector B (6P) from the power tailgate closer unit (A).

Check for continuity between the terminals in each latch position according to the table.

If the continuity is not as specified, replace the tailgate latch assembly (see TAILGATE LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
