Adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator (amber) does not go off
- Check for DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS
).
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO -Go to step 2.
- Start the engine, and wait for 2 seconds.
- Watch the ACC indicator.
Does the ACC indicator (amber) go off?
YES -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
NO -Go to step 4.
- Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS
).
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO -Go to step 5.
- Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS (see
GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION
).
Is DTC U0155 indicated?
YES -Go to step 6.
NO -Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function (see SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ).
- Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS (see
PUMP MOTOR
).
Is DTC Vindicated?
YES -Go to step 7.
NO -Go to the gauge control module self-diagnostic function (see SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION ).
- Check for ACC system DTCs with the HDS (see HOW TO CLEAR DTCS
).
Is DTC 107 indicated?
YES -Aim the millimeter wave radar (see MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR AIMING ).
NO -Go to step 8.
- Check for CMBS DTCs with the HDS (see
HOW TO RETRIEVE DTCS
).
Is DTC 100 indicated?
YES -Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).
NO -Go to the ACC system troubleshooting (No DTC indication) (see ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) SYSTEM TROUBLESHOOTING (NO DTC INDICATION) ). If OK, update the ACC unit (see ACC UNIT UPDATE ), then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit (see ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC) UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
