Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
CAUTION: Perform when the engine cold.
  1. Remove engine undercover.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to "CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT ".
  3. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to "REMOVAL ".
  4. Remove battery tray with brackets. Refer to "REMOVAL ".
  5. Remove the upper radiator hose, heater pipe, electric throttle control actuator inlet hose, CVT cooler hoses if equipped, heater hose and oil cooler hoses.
  6. Remove the engine coolant outlet.
  7. Remove the water control valve.
