Back Door Key Cylinder Switch Check

  1. CHECK BACK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL (LOCK/UNLOCK SIGNAL) 

    With CONSULT-II 

    Check back door key cylinder switch ("KEY CYL LK-SW"/"KEY CYL UN-SW") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Check voltage between smart entrance control unit terminals 10 (LG), 11 (Y) or 12 (W/PU) and ground.

    Refer to wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAM - VEHSEC  .

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Back door key cylinder switch is OK.
    2. NG: GO TO  2 .
  2. CHECK BACK DOOR KEY CYLINDER SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect back door key cylinder switch connector.
    2. Check continuity between back door key cylinder switch terminals.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Check the following. 
      • Back door key cylinder switch ground circuit
      • Harness for open or short between smart entrance control unit and back door key cylinder switch
    2. NG: Replace back door key cylinder switch.
