Diagnostic Procedure

- Check for ECM-related TP sensor DTC P0120. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no ECM-related DTCs are present, go to next step.
- Check TP sensor input signal. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR under COMPONENT TESTS. If voltage is not as specified, check harness for open or short between ECM and TCM. If results are as specified, check throttle position switch. Repair or replace damaged parts. Road test and perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE . If DTC is still present, recheck applicable TCM input/output signals. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS . If any voltage measured is not as specified, check TCM connector terminals for damage or loose connection to harness connector. Repair as necessary.
