DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Infiniti QX4, 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, and 2001 Infiniti QX4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect scan tool. Start engine. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR mode for A/T.
  2. Ensure output voltage of TFT sensor is 0.4-1.5 volts. If voltage is not as specified, drive vehicle to decrease voltage (warm up fluid) or stop engine to increase voltage (cool down fluid).
  3. Select TCC S/V FNCTN P0744 of DTC WORK SUPPORT mode for A/T. Press start.
  4. Accelerate to 42-62 MPH with gearshift lever in "D" position, O/D on. Maintain throttle position of 12-25 percent and TCC duty cycle of more than 94 percent until TESTING has turned to COMPLETE. Ensure scan tool display GEAR shows 4 when depressing accelerator.
  5. Stop vehicle. Ensure OK is displayed. Check for normal shifting. See SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE OPERATION  table under DESCRIPTION & OPERATION.
