DTC Confirmation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Sentra, 2002 Infiniti G20, 2001 Nissan Sentra, and 2001 Infiniti G20. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect scan tool. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR mode for A/T.
  2. Ensure output voltage of Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor is 0.4-1.5 volts. If voltage is out of range, drive to decrease voltage (warm up fluid) or stop engine to increase voltage (cool down fluid).
  3. Select TCC S/V FUNCTN P0744 of DTC WORK SUPPORT mode for A/T. Press START.
  4. Accelerate vehicle to 50 MPH with selector lever in "D" position with overdrive on. Ensure scan tool display GEAR shows 4. Maintain throttle position of 1.0/8-2.0/8 until TESTING has turned to COMPLETE.
  5. Stop vehicle. Ensure OK is displayed on scan tool. Check for normal shifting. See SHIFT SOLENOID OPERATION  table under DESCRIPTION & OPERATION/OUTPUT DEVICES.
