Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor

Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor is attached to transaxle internal electrical harness. TCM monitors voltage across TFT sensor to determine transaxle temperature. Depending on temperature, TCM controls line pressure, shift scheduling and TCC operation. TCC will not function until transaxle fluid temperature is more than 104°F (40°C). Malfunction of sensor will cause incorrect line pressure and possible loss of TCC operation.
