TCM Power & Ground Circuit

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Sentra, 2002 Infiniti G20, 2001 Nissan Sentra, and 2001 Infiniti G20. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, backprobe TCM connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminals No. 10, 19 and 28. See Figure. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, inspect circuits between TCM and ignition switch. Repair as needed.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCM connector. Check continuity between ground and TCM harness connector terminals No. 25 and 48. If continuity exists, circuit is okay. If continuity does not exist, repair suspect open ground circuit.
