DTC Confirmation Test "B"

NOTE: Ensure battery voltage is greater than 11 volts with engine idling before performing confirmation procedure.

Malfunction is detected when IACV-AAC valve does not operate properly. Possible causes are:

IACV-AAC valve circuit shorted.
Defective IACV-AAC valve.

To set DTC, start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition off and wait at least 5 seconds. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and let it idle for at least one minute. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
