DTC Confirmation Test

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Wait at least 10 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
NOTE:
Perform procedure for Malfunction "A"
first. If first trip DTC cannot be confirmed, perform procedure for Malfunction "B"
. If no problem exits using procedure for Malfunction "B"
, perform procedure for Malfunction "C"
.
Malfunction "A":
- Turn ignition on.
- Select DATA MONITOR with Scan Tool.
- If first trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
Malfunction "B":
- Turn ignition on and wait at least 1 second.
- Select DATA MONITOR with Scan Tool.
- Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Then turn ignition on.
- If first trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
Malfunction "C":
- Turn ignition on and wait at least 1 second.
- Select DATA MONITOR with Scan Tool.
- Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Then turn ignition on.
- Repeat step 3 32 times.
- If first trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
