DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE:
Ensure battery voltage battery voltage is greater than 11 volts at idle before performing this confirmation procedure.
Malfunction is detected when improper voltage is sent to ECM through EVAP Canister Purge Volume Control Valve (EVAP-CPVCV). Possible causes are:
- EVAP-CPVCV circuit open or shorted.
- Defective EVAP-CPVCV.
NOTE:
If DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
To set DTC, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and let idle for at least 13 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
