DTC Confirmation Test (DTC P0335)

Malfunction is detected when ECM does not receive proper pulse signal from Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor while engine is running at a certain speed. Possible causes are:
- CKP sensor circuit open or shorted.
- Defective CKP sensor.
- Defective starter.
- Faulty starter circuit.
- Weak battery.
To set DTC, turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR. Start engine and let it idle for at least 10 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
