DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when rear HO2S (sensor 2) heater circuit current is out of normal range. Possible causes are:

Drive vehicle at a speed of more than 43 MPH for 2 consecutive minutes. Stop vehicle and let idle for 6 seconds. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds. Drive vehicle at a speed of more than 43 MPH for 2 consecutive minutes. Stop vehicle and let idle for 6 seconds. Retrieve DTCs. If first trip DTC is set, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If first trip DTC is not set, problem may be intermittent. See TESTING PROCEDURE  .
