Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the cowl top and cowl top extension. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - COWL TOP AND COWL TOP EXTENSION ".
  2. Drain the brake fluid. Refer to "CHANGING BRAKE FLUID ".
  3. Remove the air cleaner to electric throttle control actuator tube attached to air cleaner case (upper). Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - AIR CLEANER TUBE ".
  4. Disconnect the harness connector for the brake fluid level switch.
  5. Using a flare nut wrench, disconnect the master cylinder brake tubes and the hose from the reservoir tank to the sub tank.
  6. Remove the master cylinder nuts and remove the master cylinder.
