Inspection For Power Supply And Ground Circuit

  1. CHECK FUSE 

    Check for blown BCM fuses.

    FUSE INSPECTION

    Unit Power source Fuse No.
    BCM Battery F
    Ignition switch ON or START 1

    Refer to , "WIRING DIAGRAM - CHIME -  ".

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of malfunction before installing new fuse. Refer to SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS . .
  2. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT 
    1. Disconnect BCM connector.
    2. Check voltage between BCM harness connector terminals and ground.
      CONNECTOR TERMINALS IGNITION SWITCH

      Terminals Ignition switch position
      (+) (-) OFF ACC ON
      Connector Terminal (Wire color)
      M19 55 (W/B) Ground Battery voltage Battery voltage Battery voltage
      M18 38 (G) 0V 0V Battery voltage

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG: Check harness for open or short between BCM and fuse.

  3. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector M19 terminals 49 (B) and 52 (B), and ground.

    Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG

    1. OK: INSPECTION END.
    2. NG: Repair harness or connector.
