DTC Confirmation Test

NOTE:
If DTC confirmation procedure had been previously run, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before continuing.
NOTE:
If DTC P1111 or P1136 are stored along with P0011 and/or P0021. Perform testing procedure for DTC P1111 or P1136 before continuing. For testing procedures, see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
Turn ignition on. On scan tool select, DATA MONITOR mode. Maintain following conditions for at least 20 consecutive seconds:
- Engine speed between 1200-2000 RPM.
- Coolant temperature more than 140°F (60°C).
- Automatic transmission in 1st position.
- Test drive vehicle on an uphill section of road that will meet given time specification. Increased engine load will help maintain driving conditions required for this test.
