Overall Function Check (With GST)

NOTE: Use this procedure to check the overall function of the heated oxygen sensor 1 circuit. During this check, a DTC might not be confirmed.
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Set voltmeter probes between ECM terminal No. 92, HO2S1 (B1) signal, for 2.5L or ECM terminal No. 91, HO2S1 (B1) signal or terminal No. 92, HO2S1 (B2) signal for 3.5L and engine ground, see Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  3. Check the following with engine speed held at 2000 RPM constant under no load:
    • The voltage fluctuates between zero to 0.3V and 0.6 to 1.0V more than 5 times within 10 seconds.
  4. If "NG", see DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (2.5L)  or DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (3.5L)  .
