Trip Meter Will Not Operate

  1. Determine what trip meter is displaying. If display is 000.0, replace display unit and control unit. If no display appears, perform DISPLAY UNIT CHECK  . If results are not okay, replace control unit. If results are okay, proceed to step 2).
  2. Perform POWER UNIT CHECK  . To check power unit output voltage for trip meter, measure voltage between terminal F4 (Red) and F4 (Black). If results are not okay, replace power unit. If results are okay, replace display unit.
  3. If trip meter has any other display than the ones previously mentioned, check condition of speedometer. If condition is good, replace control unit. If condition is bad, perform speedometer trouble shooting procedures. See SPEEDOMETER  in this article.
