Display Unit Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to "OFF" position. Remove instrument cluster. Remove control unit from instrument cluster and disconnect harness connector between control unit and display unit.
  2. Connect vehicle harness connector to power unit and display unit, (if disconnected). Turn ignition switch to "ON" position and turn diagnostic switch on the back of display unit to mode one. Ensure all display segments come on. See Fig 1 .

  3. Turn diagnostic switch to mode 2 and check if all segments go out. If none of the segments remain off in mode one, or remain on in mode 2, display unit is in good condition. After checks are complete, return diagnostic switch to its normal position.
