DTC B1868: Connection abnormality, Tel Antenna Secondary: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Check the connection of TEL antenna assembly feeder's connector and TCU.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Thoroughly connect the TEL antenna assembly feeder's connector and the TCU.
- STEP 2. Check if there is any damage to the TEL antenna assembly.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Replace the TEL antenna assembly.
- STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the TCU.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT THE SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check the DTC.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Replace the TEL antenna assembly (Refer to TEL ANTENNA ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION <UP TO 19 MODEL YEAR> ). Then go to Step 4.
NO: The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
- STEP 4. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), check whether the DTC is set again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the TCU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check the DTC.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Replace the TCU (Refer to TCU ).
NO: The procedure is complete.
