Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does a malfunction take place again? 

    1. YES:  Replace the mechatronic assembly. (Refer to << A >> MECHATRONIC ASSEMBLY REMOVAL .) Then go to Step 2.
    2. NO:  Intermittent malfunction. (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION .)
  2. STEP 2. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does a malfunction take place again? 

    1. YES:  Replace the clutch assembly. (Refer to TRANSAXLE .)
    2. NO:  Intermittent malfunction. (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION .)
