Gear Oil Replacement

- Remove the filler plug.
- Remove the drain plug and drain oil.
- Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
< Type A >
64 ± 4 N.m (47 ± 2 ft-lb)
< Type B >
32 ± 2 N.m (23 ± 2 ft-lb)
- Add the oil until the level comes to the lower portion of the filler plug hole.
Specified gear oil:
< Type A >
Mitsubishi Motors Genuine LSD gear oil
Amount to use: Approx. 0.55 dm 3 (0.58 quart)
< Type B >
Mitsubishi Motors Genuine hypoid gear oil API classification GL-5, SAE 80
Amount to use: Approx. 0.50 dm 3 (0.53 quart)
- Tighten the filler plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
< Type A >
49 ± 9 N.m (36 ± 6 ft-lb)
< Type B >
32 ± 2 N.m (23 ± 2 ft-lb)
