DTC B1952: Rain sensor initialize error: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Check the camera mounted surface on the windshield. 

    Visually check the LDW camera mounted surface on the windshield for scratch, cracks, contamination or drain drops.

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2.
    2. NO:  Windshield glass replacement (Refer to WINDSHIELD GLASS REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .)
  2. STEP 2. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code. 

    Check if the DTC No. B1952 is stored in LDW-ECU.

    1. Initialize the LDW camera. (Refer to HOW TO INITIALIZE THE LDW CAMERA  ).
    2. Turn the ignition switch from the LOCK (OFF) position to the ON position.
    3. Check if the DTC is stored.

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Replace the LDW-ECU.
    2. NO:  This diagnosis is complete.
