Check Of Power Liftgate Safety Function

  1. Place a piece of wood which is approximately 10 mm (0.4 inches) thick at a right angle against the liftgate sensor. Then, by operating the power liftgate switch, liftgate close switch, or keyless operation key power liftgate switch, close the power liftgate.
  2. Check whether the power liftgate opens when the power liftgate clamps the wood chip. If any problem occurs, carry out troubleshooting. Refer to COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM  .
    NOTE: When the safety mechanism is activated successively for two times or more, manually fully close the power liftgate.
