DTC B2485: Left side touch sensor open circuit: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Liftgate sensor (LH) check.
Check the liftgate sensor (LH) (refer to LIFTGATE LATCH CHECK ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Replace the liftgate sensor (LH).
- STEP 2. Resistance measurement at liftgate sensor (LH) connector (ground line terminal).
- Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
- Measure the resistance between the liftgate sensor (LH) connector (ground line terminal) and body ground.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. Check of open circuit in TSG line between power liftgate control unit connector and liftgate sensor (LH) connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 5.
- NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 4. Check of open circuit in TSL line between power liftgate control unit connector and liftgate sensor (LH) connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 5.
- NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 5. Check whether the diagnostic trouble code is stored again.
- Clear all the DTC stored in the power liftgate control unit.
- Operate the power liftgate.
- Check whether a DTC is stored in the power liftgate control unit.
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Replace the power liftgate control unit.
- NO: The diagnosis is complete.
