DTC B2483: No detection of full latch SW: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Full-latch switch check.
Check the liftgate latch (refer to LIFTGATE LATCH CHECK ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Replace the liftgate latch.
- STEP 2. Resistance measurement at liftgate latch connector (full-latch switch ground line terminal).
- Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
- Measure the resistance between the liftgate latch connector (full-latch switch ground line terminal) and body ground.
OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less)
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. Check of open circuit in ground line between liftgate latch connector (full-latch switch terminal) and body ground.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 5.
- NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 4. Check of open circuit in FULL line between power liftgate control unit connector and liftgate latch connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 5.
- NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 5. Check whether the diagnostic trouble code is stored again.
- Clear all the diagnostic trouble codes stored in the power liftgate control unit.
- Operate the electric liftgate.
- Check whether a diagnostic trouble code is stored in the power liftgate control unit.
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Replace the power liftgate control unit.
- NO: The diagnosis is complete.
