Inspection Procedure 6: When the ECO mode switch is turned on, the drive mode is not switched into 4WD ECO mode: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list (ETACS-ECU) 

    Check the following data list (Refer to DATA LIST ).

    • Item No.408: Filler lid Open SW/ECO mode SW

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to  Step 4.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 2.
  2. STEP 2. Follow the ETACS-ECU trouble symptom procedure "The hazard indicator assembly (ECO mode switch) signal is not received." 

    Refer to SYMPTOM PROCEDURES .

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to  Step 4.
    2. NO:  Repair it. Then go to Step 3.
  3. STEP 3. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does the malfunction occur again? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 4.
    2. NO:  This diagnosis is complete.
  4. STEP 4. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) DTC. 

    Check whether an ETACS-related DTC is stored in the AWD-ECU (Refer to CODE NO. U1195: CODING NOT COMPLETED  ).

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Perform the relevant troubleshooting. Then go to Step 5.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 5.
  5. STEP 5. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does the malfunction occur again? 

    1. YES:  Diagnose again from  Step 1.
    2. NO:  This diagnosis is complete.
