Code No. C2205: Steering Wheel Sensor Internal Error: Diagnosis

STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnostics.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.

Q: Is the check result normal?
1. YES: Go to Step 3.
2. NO: Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to DIAGNOSIS ). After repairing the CAN bus line, go to Step 2.
STEP 2. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Q: Is DTC No. C2205 stored?
1. YES: Go to Step 3.
2. NO: This diagnosis is complete.
STEP 3. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list.
Check the following data list (Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE ).
- Item No.8: Steering angle sensor
Q: Is the check result normal?
1. YES: Go to Step 4.
2. NO: Replace the steering wheel sensor (Refer to STEERING WHEEL SENSOR ). Then go to Step 5.
STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Q: Is DTC No. C2205 stored?
1. YES: Replace the AWD-ECU (Refer to AWD-ECU ). Then go to Step 5.
2. NO: Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
STEP 5. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Q: Is DTC No. C2205 stored?
1. YES: Return to Step 1.
2. NO: This diagnosis is complete.
