Code No. C1633: Transmission Timeout: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnostics.
Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to DIAGNOSIS ).
- STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) other system DTC.
Check the CVT DTC (Refer to TROUBLESHOOTING ) or the automatic transmission (FF) DTC (Refer to TROUBLESHOOTING ).
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Perform the relevant troubleshooting.
- NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. ETACS-ECU coding data check.
Check the transmission coding data stored in ETACS-ECU for any abnormality (Refer to CODING REFERENCE TABLE ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4.
- NO: Replace the ETACS-ECU. Then go to Step 5.
- STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Q: Is DTC No. C1633 stored?
- YES: Replace the AWD-ECU (Refer to AWD-ECU ). Then go to Step 5.
- NO: Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
- STEP 5. Check whether the DTC is stored again.
Q: Is DTC No. C1633 stored?
- YES: Return to Step 1.
- NO: This diagnosis is complete.
