Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) CAN bus diagnostics 

    Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to perform the CAN bus diagnosis.

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2
    2. NO:  Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to CAN BUS DIAGNOSTICS TABLE ).
  2. STEP 2. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) DTC 

    Check if the engine-related DTC is stored.

    Q: Is DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Diagnose the engine control system.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 3
  3. STEP 3. Symptom recheck after erasing DTC 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Replace TCM.
