Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Check other DTCs 

    Q: Are other diagnostic trouble codes stored? 

    1. YES:  Go to the appropriate troubleshooting.
    2. NO:  Go to Step 2.
  2. STEP 2. Check for short to ground in LRPS line between the TCM connector and the CVT assembly connector 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 3.
    2. NO:  Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
  3. STEP 3. Symptom recheck after erasing DTC 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Replace the TCM, and then go to Step 4.
  4. STEP 4. Retest the system. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  The inspection is complete.
    2. NO:  Replace the CVT assembly.
