DTC B2352: Antenna fail: Diagnosis

- STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check data list.
Check the ETACS-ECU service data.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
- Check the input signals from the Key reminder switch.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (key inserted) position.

Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 2.
- NO: Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 3: THE KEY REMINDER SWITCH SIGNAL IS NOT RECEIVED. < VEHICLES WITHOUT KOS > ."
- STEP 2. Resistance measurement at the receiver antenna connector (ANTP, ANTG line).
- Disconnect the connector and measure the resistance at the wiring harness side.
- Insert the ignition key into ignition switch.
- Measure the resistance between the receiver antenna connector (ANTP, ANTG line) and ground.
OK: The resistance should be 2 ohms or less
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4
- NO: Go to Step 3
- STEP 3. Check of short to power supply, short to ground, and open circuit in ANTP, ANTG line between receiver antenna connector and key reminder switch connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
- YES: Go to Step 4
- NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 4. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
- Erase the DTC.
- Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
- Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
- After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
- Check if the DTC is stored?
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Replace receiver antenna and turn the ignition switch to the ON and OFF. Then go to Step 5.
- NO: The diagnosis is complete.
- STEP 5. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
Recheck if the DTC is stored.
- Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
- Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
- After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
- Check if the DTC is stored?
Q: Is the DTC stored?
- YES: Replace ETACS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID ).
- NO: The diagnosis is complete.
