DTC B2352: Antenna fail: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), check data list. 

    Check the ETACS-ECU service data.

    CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
    1. Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
    2. Check the input signals from the Key reminder switch.
      • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF (key inserted) position.

      OK: Normal condition is displayed. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2.
    2. NO:  Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 3: THE KEY REMINDER SWITCH SIGNAL IS NOT RECEIVED. < VEHICLES WITHOUT KOS > ."
  2. STEP 2. Resistance measurement at the receiver antenna connector (ANTP, ANTG line). 
    1. Disconnect the connector and measure the resistance at the wiring harness side.
    2. Insert the ignition key into ignition switch.
    3. Measure the resistance between the receiver antenna connector (ANTP, ANTG line) and ground.

      OK: The resistance should be 2 ohms or less 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to  Step 4
    2. NO:  Go to Step 3
  3. STEP 3. Check of short to power supply, short to ground, and open circuit in ANTP, ANTG line between receiver antenna connector and key reminder switch connector. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 4
    2. NO:  Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
  4. STEP 4. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code. 
    1. Erase the DTC.
    2. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    3. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    4. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    5. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Replace receiver antenna and turn the ignition switch to the ON and OFF. Then go to Step 5.
    2. NO:  The diagnosis is complete.
  5. STEP 5. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code. 

    Recheck if the DTC is stored.

    1. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    2. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    3. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    4. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Replace ETACS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID  ).
    2. NO:  The diagnosis is complete.
