DTC B1A25: Transponder ID unmatched: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-III), diagnose the CAN bus line 
    CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-III), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-III).
    1. Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT THE SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-III) ."
    2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
    3. Diagnose the CAN bus line.
    4. Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

    Q: Is the CAN bus line found to be normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 2
    2. NO:  Repair the CAN bus line (Refer to DIAGNOSIS ).
  2. STEP 2. Register the key ID and recheck the diagnostic trouble code. 

    Register the key ID of the ignition key by which the DTC is stored (Refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID  ), and recheck if the DTC is stored.

    1. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    2. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    3. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    4. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 3
    2. NO:  The diagnosis is complete.
  3. STEP 3. Replace the ignition key with another registered key for the vehicle, and recheck the diagnostic trouble code. 

    Replace the ignition key with another ignition key nearby and recheck which the DTC is stored if the DTC is stored.

    1. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    2. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    3. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    4. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 4
    2. NO:  Go to  Step 5
  4. STEP 4. Register the key ID and recheck the diagnostic trouble code. 

    Register the key ID of the ignition key by which the DTC is stored in  Step 3 (refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID  ), and recheck if the DTC is stored.

    1. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    2. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    3. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    4. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 5
    2. NO:  The diagnosis is complete.
  5. STEP 5. Replace the ignition key with a new one, and recheck the diagnostic trouble code. 

    Replace the ignition key by which the DTC is stored with a new one, register the key ID of the new key, (refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID  ), and recheck if the DTC is stored.

    1. Register the ignition key which is used when detect the DTC.
    2. Remove the ignition key from the cylinder and then insert the ignition key again.
    3. After 2 or 3 seconds later from inserting the key, then turn the ignition ON.
    4. Check if the DTC is stored?

    Q: Is the DTC stored? 

    1. YES:  Replace ETACS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to HOW TO REGISTER KEY ID  ).
    2. NO:  The diagnosis is complete.
