Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to scan tool, always turn ignition switch to LOCK (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect scan tool (MB991502) to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
- Read and record all Hydraulic Brake Booster (HBB) DTCs from M-ASTC-ECU memory. Refer to scan tool manufacturers operating instructions for specific DTC retrieval instructions. Perform specified test, see DTC DEFINITION table.
- After all DTCs have been retrieved and recorded, clear DTCs from ECU memory. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES .
