Using Scan Tool

  1. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect scan tool (MB991502) and ROM pack to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position.
  2. Read and record all Hydraulic Brake Booster (HBB) DTCs from ABS ECU memory. Refer to scan tool manufacturers operating instructions for specific DTC retrieval instructions. Perform specified test, see DTC DEFINITION  table.
  3. After all DTCs have been retrieved and recorded, clear DTCs from ECU memory. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  . If DTCs can not be cleared, ABS ECU is currently detecting a malfunction.
