Remove clean air pipe
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT AND RIGHT WIPER ARM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE REAR HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT WINDSHIELD PANEL COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING BATTERY COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE SECOND FIREWALL AT TOP .
- Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER .

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
- Unfasten circlip (1) .
- Thread out clean air pipe (2)
on the intake filter housing (3)
and set aside.
- Loosen screw (1) .
Disassembling clean air pipe
- Make sure that the clean air pipe is not
moved back and forth in the arrow direction when disassembling the clean air pipe.
Excessive effort in movement back and forth can lead to a functional impairment of the exhaust turbocharger.
- When disassembling the clean air pipe, only remove the clean air pipe with left-right movements in the arrow direction.
- Disconnect engine ventilation line (1) from clean air pipe.
- Disconnect engine ventilation line (2) from the cylinder head cover.
- Unlock the clamp (3) .
- Raise the clean air pipe slightly until the plug connection (4) of the heating element is accessible at the clean air pipe.
- Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.
- Feed out clean air pipe and remove.
