Necessary preliminary work 

• Remove STRUT BRACE .
• Remove right headlight. Refer to 63 12 143 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT WITH LED TECHNOLOGY REP-REP-RAF6063-6312143 - V.2 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV) .
• Remove CROSS CONNECTION .

Removal 

Release screw and nuts (1).

Feed the hood lock (2) through the support of the cross connection.

Release the deflection (1) for the Bowden cable from the support for the cross connection.

Release the screw (2) and remove the support of the cross connection (3).

Installation 

Observe the "PROCEDURE FOR FRONT PANEL INSTALLATION ".

Install the support (3) for the cross connection.

Tighten screw (2). Tightening torque 41 33 6AZ .

Fit the deflection (1) for the Bowden cable on the cross connection support.

Join the screw and nuts (1) and tighten. Tightening torque 41 33 5AZ .

Feed the hood lock (2) through the support of the cross connection.

Required follow-up work: 

• Install CROSS CONNECTION .
• Install the right headlight. Refer to 63 12 143 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (REPLACING) RIGHT HEADLIGHT WITH LED TECHNOLOGY REP-REP-RAF6063-6312143 - V.2 (Countryman 2017-2023, except PHEV) .
• Install STRUT BRACE .
