33 32 076 Removing and installing/replacing top left wishbone (Countryman models with FWD)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove REAR WHEEL .
• Remove exhaust system

Removal: 

Remove the heat shield (1).

Remove cable (2) from holder (1).

Release nut and remove screw (1).

Release nut and remove screw (2).

Remove wishbone (3).

Installation note: 

Tighten the screw connection (2) in the NORMAL POSITION .

Installation: 

Align wishbone (3).

Replace screw (1) and nut.

Insert screw (1) and tighten nut.

Tightening torque, 33 32 1AZ .

Parts:  Bolt, nut

Replace screw (2) and nut.

Insert bolt (2) and screw on nut.

• Do not yet tighten to specified torque

Bring the vehicle to the NORMAL POSITION .

Tighten the nut of the screw (2) in the normal position.

Tightening torque 33 32 3AZ .

Parts:  Bolt, nut

Secure cable (2) on wishbone.

Mount the heat shield (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install exhaust system
• Install REAR WHEEL .
• Perform chassis/wheel alignment check. Refer to 32 00 150 KDS CHASSIS/WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK WITH VEHICLE LOAD UP TO DESIGN POSITION (COUNTRYMAN 2017-2023, EXCEPT PHEV) or 32 00 155 KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE (COUNTRYMAN 2017-2023, EXCEPT PHEV) .
