41 62 000 Removing And Installing Trunk Lid Rep-Rep-RAF5641-4162000 - V.3 (Cooper 4-Door Hatchback And 2-Door Hatchback, 2020-2023)

For stripping and rebuilding operations, refer to surrounding texts on KSD (FRU number 41 62 000).

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove REAR SPOILER (EXCEPT JCW GP) or REAR SPOILER (JCW GP) .
• Remove TRIM FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME, TOP .
• Remove BOTTOM TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Disconnect all cable connectors on trunk lid
• Feed out wiring harness from rear lid
• Remove GAS SPRINGS on the left and right

Removal: 

Close trunk lid. Rear lid lock must not engage.

Release nut (1) on both sides.

Remove trunk lid.

Installation 

Protect tailgate lock against engagement.

Install trunk lid at screw locations on hinge.

Tighten down nut (1) on both sides.

Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .

If necessary, adjust TRUNK LID .

Required follow-up work: 

• Install GAS SPRING on left and right
• Feed wiring harness into trunk lid
• Connect all cable connectors on trunk lid
• Install BOTTOM TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
• Install TRIM FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME, TOP .
• Install REAR SPOILER (EXCEPT JCW GP) or REAR SPOILER (JCW GP) .
• If reversing camera optional equipment installed: 

  Calibrate REVERSING CAMERA .
