Removal of intermediate shaft with support tube from transfer box (VTG) (Cooper Clubman ALL4 models)

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove front UNDERBODY PROTECTION

Removal:

Loosen screws (1).

Remove air duct

Loosen screws (1).

Pull the intermediate shaft with the support tube (1) out of the transfer box (VTG).

Installation:

Coat gearing of intermediate shaft uniformly with 5g grease.

Grease:  Lubricating grease Optitemp HT 1 LF, part number 83 23 0 417 754

Install the intermediate shaft with support tube (1) in the transfer box (VTG).

Tighten down screws (1).

Tightening torque 31 60 3AZ.

Install air duct.

Tighten down screws (1).

Required follow-up work: 

• Install front UNDERBODY PROTECTION
