Replacing transmission input speed sensor (8-speed, AISIN GA8F22AW) (Cooper Clubman S)

IMPORTANT: After completion of work, CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL .

Make a note of drained ATF quantity.

IMPORTANT: Use only the approved automatic transmission oil: ATF6 (BMW/MINI part number 83 22 2 355 599).

Otherwise the automatic transmission may incur extensive damage!

Do not drain oil before the transmission has cooled down.

Preliminary work needed:

Removal:

Unlock connector (2) and remove.

Remove screw (3).

Remove sensor (1).

Installation:

Install sensor (1) and fasten with screw (3).

Connect and lock connector (2).

IMPORTANT: Coat sealing ring with clean transmission oil.

Tightening torque: 24 35 1AZ .
