Replacing rear left (right) upper seat belt (Cooper)

IMPORTANT: Operations on pyrotechnical devices may only be carried out by authorized experts.
Improper, unauthorized operations may result in serious dangers.
Unauthorized persons are strictly prohibited from performing any operations on this system.

WARNING: Read and comply with SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS for handling airbag modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners.
Failure to observe correct procedures can deploy the airbag and cause injuries.
A damaged head airbag must be replaced.
A damaged head airbag exhibits an impaired protective function and in extreme cases loses its protective function altogether.

Preliminary work needed:

Remove rear SEAT .
Remove luggage compartment COVER .

Removal:

Remove screw (1).

Remove end lining (2).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Remove screw (2).

Feed out seat belt retractor (3) upwards.

Remove safety belt.

Installation:

Fit the seat belt retractor (3).

NOTE: Make sure guide is correctly fitted in body.
Seat belt retractor unit (3) is coded against incorrect installation.
Replace screw (2).
Tighten screw (2).
Tightening torque 72 11 20AZ.
Connect and lock plug connection (1).

Mount end lining (2).

NOTE: End lining (2) is encoded to prevent incorrect assembly.

Replace screw (1).

Tighten screw (1).

Tightening torque 72 11 22AZ.

Required follow-up work:

Install luggage compartment COVER .
Install rear SEAT .
