Removing and installing (replacing) control panel for heating and air conditioning system

Special tools required: 

• 51 3 290

Preliminary work needed: 

• Remove CENTRAL INSTRUMENT .

Removal: 

Position special tool 51 3 290 as shown.

Pull air conditioning control panel (1) towards rear using special tool 51 3 290 and push from rear at same time.

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Remove control panel for heater - air conditioning system (2).

Replacement: 

Unlock detents (1).

Remove air conditioning control panel (2) from trim (3).

Installation: 

Position air conditioning control panel (2) and join and connect connector (1).

Position air conditioning control panel (1) correctly and engage in dashboard (2).

Required reworking: 

• Install CENTRAL INSTRUMENT .

Replacement: 

Carry out PROGRAMMING/CODING
