51 43 070 Removing and installing/replacing side trim panel, footwell, on A-pillar, left

Preliminary work needed:

Remove FRONT DOOR SILL COVER STRIP (INSIDE)

Removal:

Detach edge protection (4) in area of side trim panel (1).

Remove screw (3).

Lever hood release (2) from side trim panel (1).

Remove screw (1).

Release and remove the side trim panel (3) from the clips (2) in the arrow direction.

Installation:

If necessary, take out clips (1) remaining in bores.

Replace faulty clips (1).

Place and clip in the side trim panel (2) with pre-installed clips (1) on the associated bores.

Tighten screw (1).

Mount hood release (1) and tighten the screw (3).

Ensure side trim panel (1) is correctly fitted for the edge protection (4).

Required reworking:

Install FRONT DOOR SILL COVER STRIP (INNER)
