51 32 170 Removing and installing/replacing door window glass, front left or right

WARNING: Injury hazard!
Carry out work on the power electric windows only when the power window motor is de-energized.

Preliminary work needed:

Remove SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR
Remove OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP

Removal:

Shift door window glass until the stop of the stand (1) can be operated via the recess on the guide rails.

IMPORTANT: Injury hazard!
Disconnect plug connection at power window motor (pinch hazard).

Operate the stop of the stand (1) in front and rear with a suitable tool and feed out the window upwards.

Installation:

Feed in the window into the door and engage into the stop of the stand (1).

NOTE: Window has to be engaged properly.

Required reworking:

Carry out functional check on power electric windows and crush guard
Install OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP
Install SOUND INSULATION IN FRONT DOOR
