61 31 011 Replacing coil spring cassette

IMPORTANT: Shift wheels into straight-ahead position and do not alter this position during the repair work.
Do not under any circumstances turn the steering column switch cluster when the steering wheel

Preliminary work needed: 

Removal: 

Unscrew the screws (1).

Remove steering column switch cluster (2) in arrow direction.

Unlock and disconnect connector (1) on steering column switch cluster (2).

Release lock (1) to steering column switch cluster (2).

Remove coil spring cassette (3).

Installation: 

Clip on coil spring cassette (3) on the steering column switch cluster (2).

NOTE: Coil spring cassette (3) must be correctly engaged.

Connect connector (1) to steering column switch cluster (2).

NOTE: Check neutral position of coil spring on steering column switch cluster.
Neutral position is correct only when the green or yellow mark (1) is clearly visible!

Install steering column switch cluster in arrow direction.

Retain steering column switch cluster pressed firmly against the steering column.

Tighten screws (1 to 4) in the order displayed.

Tightening torque 61 31 3AZ .
